Designer Wouter Stokkel once said:
“It’s art if it can’t be explained. It’s fashion if no one asks for an explanation.
It’s design if it doesn’t need an explanation.”

Why divide art, fashion and design into dierent categories?

Drawing and painting my ideas to develop concepts is my art.
The functionality of my products is design and soliciting people’s needs
whilst being trendsetting is what I conceive as my fashion.

Unique: what a great designer needs to be. A talent I try to nurture and make mine.
Finding a personal and special way to express my personality and emotions whilst working.

The work needs to talk for the person behind it.
My creations need to represent me.

Design is seeing your art become a product that can be used by people in today’s society.
Developing a structure or form that helps, incourages and inspires ussers.
Having the capabilities of projecting and constructing your work to then see
your idea as a functioning real life model is envigouring and aascinating
What I intend as fashion is the understanding of people through objects.
Being able to create products that that analyze therefore think about their users, helping and attracting them.
By not being scared of soft materials and fabrics, I was able to create a lot of
functioning fashion accessories.
My interest is set on making fashion and product design mix and collaborate.
Yes, challenging, but not impossible!
Drawing and painting is the best way for me, to express my ideas.
To develop, create and look at sketches on paper helps a designer have a general idea of what the product will look like.
Bright colours, liveliness and freedom when drawing makes the project more fun to work on.

21st Century fathers listen up!

Carrying your baby has never been so cool!
A modern baby carrier that looks like a normal sweater with a twist, to make
fathers of any age feel at ease when carrying their child.
Fatherhood is expressed in a fresh and fun way so that even today’s “daddy”
can take care of a child without losing his masculinity and juvenile spirit.

Women reading this, tell me the truth.
Isn’t it true that high-heel shoes make you feel much better?

They are plastic surgery without scalpels and stitches.
High heels give you the power and transform you in a second.
Shoes: you see them smiling at you in a shop window and you think that by having them, you’re life would be much better.
Your insecurities and bad thoughts just vanish by wearing a brand new pair of high-heels.

But what about the uncomfort and pain they cause?
I know we believe in the“pain is gain philosophy”,
on the otherhand which woman doesn’t?
But why suffer?

Walking Contradiction are a pair of exchangeable heels designed and developed according to today’s Western woman’s needs.
They simplify life and create variation in the everyday boring routine.

experimenting with different forms, sizes and clothes can lead to a final answer on how to make opportunity theft more complicated and challenging for people who enjoy shoplifting today.
By following the lead of Design Against Crime Research Centre I was able to create an aesthetically
pleasing, simplistic product, that concentrates on both, user and abuser side of things.
Did you know that a modern-looking, original and fun display of clothing
items can work as a security sytem in shops?
